RECLAIMR / Technical direction
This page is a designed placeholder for the future RECLAIMR whitepaper. It outlines the intended areas of research and documentation without inventing technical specifications or claiming completed implementations.
Abstract
Digital assets can provide direct ownership, but direct ownership also creates new responsibilities around access, security and continuity. RECLAIMR is exploring an infrastructure layer intended to make those responsibilities more manageable through recovery planning, guardian authorization, emergency protection and legacy transfer concepts.
Industry challenges
Lost private keys, compromised wallets, limited recovery options and the absence of reliable inheritance mechanisms can leave digital asset owners exposed. A usable recovery system must balance accessibility with strong security, privacy and resistance to coercion or misuse.
RECLAIMR's proposed solution
The proposed ecosystem combines recovery arrangements with protection mechanisms. Users would define preferences and conditions in advance, while cryptographic verification and authorization requirements would help make sensitive actions deliberate.
Ecosystem architecture
The architecture is organized around a Recovery Vault, Guardian Network, Emergency Shield, Legacy Transfer and Recovery Protocol. Each component represents a product direction subject to research, design, testing and validation.
Security considerations
Security research will need to address authorization thresholds, key management, guardian failure modes, privacy, social engineering, recovery abuse, smart contract risk and emergency response. The eventual technical document will describe these considerations in greater depth.
Development roadmap
Planned work progresses from foundation and protocol design through core development, security validation and ecosystem expansion. See the full roadmap for the current development preview.
Future vision
RECLAIMR aims to help establish a more resilient standard for digital ownership — one where access can be prepared for, threats can be met with structure and continuity can be designed before it is needed.
